One-Day Training Session at PILC

The Pakistan Independent Living Centre (PILC) organized a one-day training session on “Personal Hygiene, Gender Sensitization & Workplace Inclusion for Women with Disabilities” on 14 September 2026 at PILC Head Office, Karachi.

We were honoured to have Ms Saima Ali, President, Disabled Welfare Association; Ms Farhana Hafeez, Philanthropist; and Ms Mangla Sharma, Senior Politician, as our special guests. They shared their valuable guidance and encouraged women with disabilities to build confidence, awareness, and independence.

The session focused on:

  • Personal Hygiene & Self-Care
  • Medical Awareness & Health Practices
  • Inclusive Workplace & Reasonable Accommodation
  • Gender Sensitization & Empowerment
  • Practical guidance for independent living and workplace inclusion

The participants actively engaged in the training, shared their concerns, and learned practical ways to maintain personal hygiene, take care of their health, and advocate for an inclusive and accessible workplace.

Certificates of Participation were also presented to the participants upon completion of the one-day training.

At PILC, we believe that every woman with a disability has the right to dignity, independence, equal opportunity, and an inclusive society.
