PILC supports communities at both social and communal levels by strengthening social inclusion of disabled individuals, particularly persons with severe disabilities. Through inclusive community disability initiatives, PILC helps reduce social isolation by promoting dignity, participation, and community based rehabilitation. Our approach connects families, attendants, and local stakeholders into a strong disability network that supports daily life integration and long-term well-being.
In addition, PILC provides a platform for PWD employment rights by supporting persons with disabilities working in government and private sectors. Through disability advocacy and dialogue, PILC raises collective voices for equal opportunities and PWD welfare.
One of our notable initiatives is refugee disability support for Afghan persons with disabilities. Under this project, PILC addressed vulnerability through assistive devices and income-generation training, aligning with CPRD mandates. This initiative was funded by BPRM, Embassy of the United States of America in Pakistan.
Our projects focus on community development disability by creating practical pathways for inclusion, access, and empowerment. Each initiative supports PWD welfare, strengthens disability advocacy, and improves the social inclusion of disabled persons across diverse communities. We collaborate with partners, donors, and local groups to expand outreach, enhance community based rehabilitation, and build a stronger disability network for long-term impact.

Our work in social inclusion of disabled communities focuses on creating welcoming and respectful spaces where individuals feel understood, valued, and connected. Through shared activities, awareness initiatives, and community based rehabilitation, we strengthen participation and encourage meaningful interaction. These efforts help build an inclusive community disability framework that supports belonging, cooperation, and long-term PWD welfare through strong local and regional disability network connections.
Supporting PWD employment rights is a core part of our approach to community development. Through disability advocacy, we guide persons with disabilities in understanding workplace protections, fair hiring practices, and skill-building opportunities. By partnering with organizations and employers, and extending refugee disability support where needed, we promote inclusive recruitment and dignified employment pathways that enable confidence, independence, and equal access to sustainable livelihoods.
ILCs foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes social interaction and community inclusion, breaking down barriers and misconceptions about disabilities.
